JOHN PRIDDY, bass-baritone, earned a Master of Music in instrumental conducting from Indiana University. He began working as a conductor and stage director in West German operas houses in 1988. Immediately following Reunification, he relocated to former East Germany, becoming on e of the first American conductors to work in the former Soviet Bloc country. His conducted repertoire ranges from “Boris Godunov” to “Sweeney Todd.” Returning to the US, he served as music minister in United Methodist congregations until his retirement. He is a member of the Chancel Choir of River Road Church in Richmond and most recently was pianist for the choir’s performance of Chilcott’s “Little Jazz Mass.”
